Earl's finger speed was first noticed at the age of 12, having taken second prize at the YMCA Rubik's Cube solving contest. His stage presence and experience grew from there going on to such professional jobs as: juggling while balancing on a rolla-bolla in a 2-ring circus, playing tenor banjo in a traveling medicine wagon show, and assisting magical acts by disappearing, re-appearing, and balancing on sword point.
Though Earl enjoys guitar and bass, he continues to compose songs, hoping one day to join the illustrious songwriting ranks of fellow composers Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and Weird Al Yankovic.
